F.E.R.I. is an official loading certificate required for all shipments to Democratic Republic of Congo and it has a specific serial number that is duly signed, dated and stamped by the authorized OGEFREM agent that must be state on the Original Bill of Lading.
The F.E.R.I. requirement was implemented by D.R.Congo Customs officials in 2011, obliging all Exporters/Freight Forwarders to obtain a corresponding loading certificate for each B/L before the shipment reach D.R.Congo Ports. Failing to present the F.E.R.I. certificate at the destination will lead the importer to the sanction and a hefty fine.
